Well done, a good move from Watercare: 30 November 2024
This is a MAJOR step forwards.
Watercare has implemented a good capacity application process form:
• Online EPA approval checking system
• Consideration of location-specific factors and local line capacity
Our support network continues to grow stronger. SANZ is working alongside the Property Council New Zealand, Urban Development Institute of New Zealand UDINZ, and other industry groups. Inside SANZ, we have assembled a team of: legal advisors, planners, policy experts, and engineers to help navigate these challenges.
Our focus remains on:
• Promoting transparency
• Ensuring fair market processes
• Fostering collaboration
• Supporting appropriate solutions including recourse where needed
VEOLIA? PAPAKURA? They are Auckland too!! Not seeming to be collaborative…
Special thanks to Adrienne L. Miller Miller (hashtagUDINZ CEO) for her guidance (around thought points and words) for me as I navigated our WhatsApp communications. Plus a shout out to Andrew Crosby for his ‘on-point’ post about the ‘Dear John’ letters.
While significant challenges remain, we have made progress toward constructive solutions for Auckland’s development future.
Note: SANZ will not drive individual battles nor will SANZ pressure capacity where it does not exist.
Together, we’re making headway.
