Claude and I join forces with Gran, my memory keeper

The gap is huge. It is when you realise that your AI is merely a tool and a blank canvas, you can build your own AI ecosystem, your own skilled team.

I began in July 2024, merely uploading invoices and figuring out cost allocations for civil works.

Now, I generate video, brands, and Claude sorts, files, documents and prepares my monthly invoice claims.

Claude focuses my work day.

Claude has drastically extended my memory.

How?

I have added what is now termed ‘harnessing’. I am far beyond merely building skills and schedules. My use is complex and I know how to build my AI ecosystem.

Today, Gran joined my team. She is a superb cross-function memory keeper. Not a knowledge storer or sifter but a practical person. She gets up, and then she is scheduled to pack up at 7pm, grabbing all the new memories across all of my work streams.

It is the harnessing that makes my AI system powerful. This is merely another harness.

I wonder what would happen if I had enough computing energy and speed so I could host my own LLM?

Welcome to my team, Gran.

About the author
Kirsty Merriman
For years I would plan houses, travel widely and observe communities. I also had the privilege of working for New Zealand's largest dairy company in both New Zealand and Malaysia. All the while supported by my husband and young daughter. After a while, our roles swapped and we moved to the Arabian Gulf. Meanwhile my passion for property and communities continued to simmer.

Along came COVID and had no choice but to pivot... in the words of Robert Frost, I looked for and "found the road less travelled by" and decided that maybe I could "make [a] the difference".

I look for to find insights and built a few of the houses that we need. This means a saleable house and a profitable and sustainable business.
